GROUNDBREAKING SET FOR BOULDER JUNCTION INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND PROJECT
The Town of Boulder Junction’s Town Park Board and Playground Committee announce a “Groundbreaking Ceremony” on Saturday, October 15th at 1pm to be held at the playground area in the Boulder Junction Community Sports and Recreation Park.
Town and County officials, business leaders, playground donors, sponsors, and all interested residents and visitors from the surrounding area are welcome to attend the Groundbreaking Ceremony.
Town of Boulder Junction authorized the purchase of the equipment and shipping costs mid-August. The equipment will be delivered in 2023, with a late spring community installation planned. 74% of the funding needed has been completed; however, fundraising will continue until all the funds are raised to complete the project including installation, donor brick walkway, fencing, landscaping and signage.
100X100 Community Matching Funds Challenge begins!
Currently, the ‘100 X 100 Challenge’ is underway. As a Matching Funds Challenge, the Town of Boulder Junction Playground Committee is seeking 100 individuals to donate $100 towards the 2-5 year old climbing structure. Once $10,000 is raised anonymous donors will match this with a $10,000 gift towards the 2-5 year old climbing structure, providing $20,000!
Information can be found on the Come Play Together website https://www.boulderatplay.com/community-challenge/. Consider a special $100 gift for a friend, for a family member’s birthday or an early Christmas present to honor someone special. With proper information provided on the form for this challenge, the person you are honoring will receive notification of your gift.
