Boulder Junction, WI – The Boulder Junction Park Board is proud to announce the completion and public opening of the Tall Pines Disc Golf Course, a new year-round recreational facility located within the grounds of the Boulder Junction Sports Park and Community Center complex. This 18-hole course is now open for play and available free of charge to the public during normal park hours (daylight).
Designed by Mike Kobach, retired professional disc golf player and course designer, Tall Pines offers a beautiful and technically challenging layout nestled among towering red pines, pristine woodlands, and rolling terrain—creating a truly Northwoods disc golf experience.
“This course represents another spectacular addition to Boulder Junction’s outdoor recreation offerings,” said Dennis Duke, Park Board Member and Project Leader. “We could not have accomplished this without the incredible dedication of our community volunteers, town crew, and the financial support of our local business and family sponsors and others. Their generosity and hard work have made this vision a reality in less than a year”
The Boulder Junction Park Board anticipates hosting a Grand Opening Celebration in late spring 2026, where the community will be invited to join in a formal ribbon cutting and open play event.
The Tall Pines Disc Golf Course will host open play, league play, and sponsored tournaments throughout the year. Several groups and individuals have expressed plans to organize tournaments in 2026. We expect these organized events will draw new visitors to Boulder Junction and further strengthen the town’s reputation as a destination for outdoor recreation.
With the addition of Tall Pines Disc Golf Course, Boulder Junction continues to invest in recreational amenities that celebrate the community’s natural beauty and outdoor heritage while fostering health, tourism, and year-round enjoyment for residents and visitors alike.
