Boulder Junction Winter Park : Ice Report

Winter Park will remain closed this week as crews continue rehabilitation work on both the Ice Rink and the Glide Skating Ribbon.

Warm temperatures yesterday significantly softened the ice surface. Unfortunately, skating activity during those conditions resulted in deep divots and surface damage, making restoration efforts more extensive and time-consuming. When the ice base is compromised under warm conditions, it requires careful repair to return it to a safe and quality skating surface.

For these reasons, Winter Park will remain closed until Saturday morning. This additional time is necessary to properly rebuild and protect the ice base so that we can return to safe and durable skating conditions.

We appreciate the community members who respect closures and understand that these decisions are made for both visitor safety and the long-term integrity of the facility. Updates will be provided as work progresses.
